With a 2:01 Finish in Hamilton I find myself one step closer to my ultimate Goal of Sub 2:00.
This season has been a mental battle as well as physical, after traveling for the Month of May. Coming out and opening the season in Kitchener, finishing with one of my slowest Canadian races ever of 2:24.
The following days questioning myself on what went wrong, how I could have made up time and Finished stronger. My fellow female competitors have raised the bar and continue to push, All finding themselves reaching Personal Bests each race! I couldn't be prouder to witness their success, They have figured out what works for them! They all seem to have been gaining the knowledge, experience and confidence to reach their next mark.
As I look at my race, training and mental prep, I find Myself re-evaluating. How can I make up 2 extra seconds? Am I on track to what I've already planned out? Am I training too hard right now? Do I need more Rest?
I can tell you, my clients (Fit by Fire Bootcamp), drive me to answer these questions! These people that come to train with me on a weekly basis, show me Dedication, Determination and Strength. I Enjoy Every session with them, as they Teach me how to overcome tough times. I Push them to limits, they may not have known they were capable of, but each and every day they overcome.
It is these people that SURROUND ME RIGHT NOW THAT WILL HELP ME FIND THOSE 2 EXTRA SECONDS!
